I'm Luis Canelón.
A Photographer/Creative born from Caracas, Venezuela. He achieved a Licentiate Degree in Graphic Design in 2019, and since then he has been working as professional in the creative field.
Self-Started, Motivated and Obsessed with learning as much as possible, Photography has become his favorite medium ever since. After graduating, he received a certification in Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Photography. Likewise, he participated in a 3-month Workshop on Cinematography, learning the entire Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production process.
Since then, he has kept a self-taught regime through online resources. Learning more and more about the mediums, and how to improve on every aspect.
A Life Dedicated
to Creating
Studies aside, as a freelancer he started a Creative Agency in Venezuela that ran successfully for 3 years, before eventually emigrating to Utah, USA. In July of 2022.
Bringing all of that knowledge and experience here, he has been on a journey of connecting with the artists and creatives of Salt Lake City. First, volunteering at the Utah Arts Festival of 2023.
Afterwards participating as a finalist in the contest known as the "One Shot to Rule Them All" that took place in the Little Acorn Gallery in August of 2023.

One Shot to Rule Them All is a photographic competition celebrated in Salt Lake City, Utah, once every year. For this edition I submitted 3 photographs, in which one was selected as Finalist for the Showcase, and final competition.
"Shades of Expression" - Urban Arts Gallery
FEBRUARY 2024
I was invited to participate in the Urban Arts Gallery showcase "Shades of Expression". A celebration of artists from all backgrounds, and their different views on art.

MARCH 2024
I was invited to participate in the "Light" art show. A whole event that included live music, poetry and dance. All in the celebration of Light, and our interpretations of it.

In November of 2024 I got in contact with Runway 7 through Social Media for an exclusive media pass for their Fashion Show that is held in New York City.

SLC UNVEILED - Photography Community Zine

After months of sketching, planning and problem-solving. The idea that I had for a photography community zine came to fruition, thanks to the SLC Photo Community. As a member of the organization, we gathered our resources and had a very successful launch event at Acme Camera Co.
